The virtuous, brilliant and unique Hamilton de Holanda returns to the Blue Note São Paulo stage with his newest project, on January 13th. Flying Chicken is the new project of his trio with pianist Salomão Soares and drummer Big Rabello, where together they explore different rhythms and timbres.
It’s a project for those who like to improvise, and of course, to rock, it’s a mix of jazz festivals with the perspective of someone who has been dancing at Circo Voador for 10 years.
In the repertoire pearls of the songbook and authorial songs like the one that gives name to the project “Flying Chicken” – homage to its sound technician, “Endelessly” that Hamilton made in partnership with Michael League bassist of the American band Snarky Puppy, “Afro choro” and “Sol e luz” that are on his two albums nominated for the Latin Grammy 2022, among others.
