This is the second album, following 2021’s Optimist, from the man best known as brother and producer to Billie Eilish. While his debut was made in his bedroom with him playing all the instruments himself, here he has opted for a truly collaborative venture, working with a full studio band. The result is a lush, full album with a throwback jazzy pop/R&B sound that should see him further step out from his sister’s shadow to become a major star in his own right.
