Elliott Armen, born in 1998 in Saint-Malo, is a French author, composer and performer who grew up between Paris and his native town. His artist name, Armen (Ar Men “the rock” or “the stone” in Breton) comes from a famous lighthouse built in the open sea at the end of the Sein1 Causeway. He is the son of Yann Tiersen.
After high school, Elliott Armen left, with his guitar on his back, to travel around Europe for two years, from Scotland and Cornwall to Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy and Portugal. From these different countries, he posts videos on the internet where he sings his latest compositions3
He thus works from farm to farm where he acquires a knowledge transmitted by his peasant hosts. He carries with him his musical instruments, his notebook and enough to record his first songs.
Since his adolescence, he has been composing on guitar and piano in echo of his attachment to the landscapes that surround his family home located on the edge of an estuary.
